How Midrise Media changed the Long Island Real Estate Market
Midrise Media is a Long Island production company founded by two graduates from Marist College, Matt Onorato & David Otis. Onorato, also a graduate of Smithtown High School West, started creating videos with Otis for real estate agents across the Island in 2019.
Midrise Media’s first client? Dan O’Neil of The O’Neil Team at Signature Premier Properties. The two filmed their first creative video listing together in Setauket at one of O’Neils biggest listings at the time, Scotts Cove. The video was an immediate success generating over 10,000 views across O’Neils social media platforms. The home ended up selling in record time and for over asking price.

After seeing the success video content was bringing to Dan and his real estate team, the ideas just kept coming. Between parodies of viral Netflix specials like YOU, riding horses, jumping into pools, renting cars and jet skis the team started generating creative content on a weekly basis. And not just listing content. The ideas expanded past creative listing videos to include funny TikTok & Instagram Reels, professional commercials for agents on The O’Neil Team, Vlogs, and more.
